This land once belonged to two of the original settler families from the area and contains lovely rambling gardens. Through a community-based approach the park is dotted with a “rambling” text installation. Text is carved onto basalt ‘cucumber slices’ which you find as you wander from place to place. These carved basalt slices bear fragments of poetry about the gardens (by local poets) and memories of the original families.
