A slightly dis-ordered pile of books spirals upwards high above the passerby. The opening of the books is mirror finished – reflecting and fragmenting the world around us. Etched onto this mirrored face is a silhouette of a Madrone – a native Oregon tree. This ‘strand of DNA’ books has references to intellectual knowledge and storage, the image referring to the tree of knowledge.
